Why Am I Running

After 33 years in law enforcement—serving on the streets of Baker, and in communities across the nation, I’m ready to come home and serve again. This time, as your Chief of Police.

I've seen what works and what doesn’t—at the local level and at the federal level. But at every step, I’ve never forgotten where I call home — Central, Louisiana.

Now more than ever, our community deserves:

Fair, transparent, and accountable policing
Leadership that serves with integrity
Programs that connect our officers with our youth - to build our future
Policies that prioritize safety, training, and community tru
st

I’m not a politician. I’m a public servant. And I’m ready to serve again—this time, at home.

Operation Servant's Oath Logo.png

Serving others through humility and strength, my oath is to do all things for your service and not my own interests.  To serve as YOUR CHIEF, while valuing relationships over politics, accountability over authority, and humility over hubris.

Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Philippians 2:3-4

Leadership that Serves

I began my career on the streets, I understand what officers face daily—because I’ve been there.

As I advanced in my career, I was entrusted with overseeing major federal investigations, managing budgets, allocating resources, and working with agency and legislative staff in an ever changing environment.

As your next Chief of Police, I’ll lead with both boots-on-the-ground insight and big-picture leadership. I’ll invest in our youth to build our future, engage the community in partnership to enhance crime prevention, and ensure that every dollar spent serves the mission and respects the taxpayer.

I’ve worn the uniform. I’ve led at the highest levels. I know what it takes to protect and serve—because I’ve done it.

My Vision

Visionary Servant Leadership

Leadership that Serves.  Public Service is more than a job.  It's a desire to put others before yourself.  Like a minister called to shepherd a flock, a policemen is called to watchover and protect the flock.  To hold ourselves accountable to a higher standard so as not to be easily moved from our calling.  To make a difference in the lives of people at their highest, and lowest moments in life.  To serve and protect with integrity, strength and love.

  • Community First – Build strong partnerships, expand outreach, real community oriented policing and involve citizens in public safety.

  • Enhanced Training – Ongoing education and joint training with other agencies to boost performance and cut costs.

  • Youth Engagement – Mentorships, school programs, and internships to inspire the next generation of officers.

  • Transparency – Open communication, real-time updates, and clear strategic plans for the future.

  • Accountability - Establish regular, effective communications with stakeholders, fully committed to the position.

  • Efficiency – Smarter use of resources, better visibility, and programs that improve morale and retention.
